Play Pickelball in the Park this Summer

As we all look for activities we can do safely this summer, look for outdoor pickleball courts in some of the area's parks.  Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the country.  It is a combination of tennis, racquetball and badminton.  It is played with a plastic racquet and can be indoors or outdoors.  There are several private clubs around town with courts, leagues and tournaments.  If you want to play for free, check out area public parks.  After being cooped up for months, a little outdoor excercise sounds like a great way to spend the day!  And while, you're at it check pouot some nearby homes for sale.

Clarks Creek Community Park

If you haven’t been to Clarks Creek Community Park, now is the time to check it out!  In addition to 8 pickleball courts, this 37-acre park has a dog park, playground, loop trail system, spray ground, and community garden.

Clarks Creek Park is located between I-77 and I-85 inside the 485-outer loop.  If you like that area and want to check out some neighborhoods while you’re there.  Two area favorites are Highland Creek and Davis Lake.  Both neighborhoods are known for their amenities for today’s active lifestyles.  Or if you prefer new construction, check out Cheyney or Highland Knoll.
