Providence High School Real Estate Market Report

" alt="" />Providence High School Real Estate Report

Located in the suburbs of South Charlotte is one of CMS's top performing high schools -- Providence High School (PHS).  Ranked 10th in the state and #1 among CMS high schools by US News and World Report, this high school consistenly out performs the district and state in student performance, state required testsing and AP exams.  PHS has a student body of just over 2000 and draws from some of the top middle and elementary schools in the area.

Providence High School Real ESTATE

The area around PHS was developed in the 1980s and 1990s so the neighborhoods are established with larger lots and mature landscaping.  There are pockets of new and newer construction but most of the land in the area is completely developed.  Some of the new construction in the Providence High School zone are:

   - Deerfield

   - Stevens Grove

   - Oak Manor

   - Providence Retreat

   - Waverly

Many of the neighborhoods zoned for the Providence High School are some of the most desireable neighborhoods in South Charlotte.  Hembstead, Providence Plantation, Deerfield Creek and Beverly Crest have active swim and racket clubs which are family favorites and hard to find in the area.  Some of these swim clubs also allow memberships for people who do not live in the neighborhood so if you end up in a nearby neighborhood, you can still enjoy the amenities.

Some of my favorite neighborhoods zoned for Providence High School are:

   - Hembstead ($600,000-$1 million)

   - Bellmeade ($700-800's)

   - Reverdy Glen ($800's-900's)

   - The Forest ($1 million - 1.5 million)

   - St. George ($550-650)

   - Providence Planation ($400-over 1 million)

   - Berkeley ($500-700's)

   - Deerfield Creek ($500-700's)

   - Sardis Mill ($400-500's)

   - Benton Woods ($400-500)

   - Oak Manor (600's-800's)

   - Providence Arbors ($400's)

   - Elizabeth Place ($500's)

   - Beverly Crest ($400's-500's)

Besides great schools and established neighborhoods, a popular feature of the Providence High school zone is the convenience to other areas in town.  If commuting into Uptown is required, getting into uptown is a straight shot north on Providence or Randolph Road. Downtown Matthews is a couple miles away east on Hwy 51 and the Waverly and Rea Farms amenities is a couple miles South on Provdience Road. Ballantyne, Cotswold and South Park are all about 10 minutes away from the Providence High School area.
