South Charlotte Neighborhoods with Pools

Some of our favorite summer days as a family was spending the day at the pool!  We never had one in our own backyard but we were always lucky to have one either in the neighborhood or nearby.  When I help families move to the area I always point out the nearby neighborhood pools or community swim clubs that don’t have the country club price tag.

Some of my favorite south charlotte neighborhoods are those with community swim clubs.  An all time favorite of mine is Hembstead.  Community HOA dues of less than $1000 get residents a swimming pool, baby pool, tennis courts, playground, volleyball court and club house.  In 2020 the swimming pool was renovated to keep up with the current pool trends.  In a “normal”, non-Covid year, the swim club has an active swim team swimming against other local neighborhood teams and swim clubs.   The pool has a diving area and diving board.

Another favorite of mine is Hunter Oaks just a little further South in Union County.  Hunter Oaks has two active swimming pools for residents and they, too, have an active swim team and swim lesson program.  Like, Hembstead, these pools attract residents and provide a great way for kids and families to meet and connect.
