Pineville, NC is probably best known for being the birthplace of the 11th U.S. President, James K. Polk. A historical site remains in his name, an original cabin from the land he was born on remains and the rest of the home has been recreated, including representative furniture and people in costume.

The town grew into what it is because of the various interstates built to run through it. This provides the unique blend of small town size (just over 5 miles of town!) and business development, but it isn't the best situation for natural walkability and bikeability.

They offer "a variety of restaurants to suit even the most discriminating tastes", the Carolina Place mall, and houses of worship representing all faiths.

The many parks in Pineville, NC provide a wealth of opportunities for those looking for an active lifestyle. The Belle Johnston Community Center offers fitness equipment, a track, and a basketball court for free to taxpaying residents within the city limits or a guest fee for everyone else. The Jack D. Hughes Memorial Park provides a field suitable for soccer, lacrosse, and football, softball fields, a baseball stadium, batting cages, a playground, 2 concession buildings with restrooms, and a 1.5-mile walking trail. Lake Park offers fishing playgrounds, swinging, a walking trail all around the lake, a Splash Pad, and a dog park. There are also places to find mini-golf, laser tag, go-karts, trampolines, bouncing, and dodgeball.

This small historic town packs a lot of opportunity into its small size and what it can't offer itself, it has interstates and a light rail extension to take you to. Search our homes in Pineville, NC to find the perfect home for you.
